By jason deng | @jason_aviation (ig)On Tuesday, HiFly Airline announced on their instagram that they would be retiring their Airbus A380, 9H-MIP, after the lease term ends later this year (December), They will replace it with the Airbus A330neos. 9H-MIP was originally delivered to Singapore Airlines back in 2006. In July of 2018, Hi Fly purchased the aircraft from Singapore. Being MSN 006, the airframe itself is very old, though the interior was refurbished multiple times.

By jason deng | @jason_aviation (ig)On Friday, an 15.8 year old Air France 77W registered as F-GSQH diverted to Goose Bay Airport in Eastern Canada due to a cargo hold smoke sensor warning. F-GSQH was making its way from Montreal to Paris when the incident happened. This is the second time an AF aircraft has diverted to Goose Bay after the AF66 incident back in 2017. The aircraft was delivered to Air France back in 2005 according to a competitor of JetPhotos that shall not be named. The flight, AF347 with 100 passengers was about to enter the oceanic tracks at FL380 when a rear cargo hold smoke sensor warned the crew of a possible smoke in the back. The crew made the choice of turning around and diverted to the nearest airport, Goose Bay. The aircraft safely made it to Goose Bay with a Squawk 7700 emergency. On the ground, the crew and emergency services realized that it was a false warning. The 100 passengers flew on the next YUL-CDG flight with AF. Below is a photo of an Air France A350-900.
